Northside Nutrition and Dietetics welcomes referrals from all medical practitioners who have patients they feel would benefit from the services of a dietitian or diabetes educator.
We now have over 100 medical practitioners who refer their patients to Northside Nutrition and Dietetics, including GP's, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists and cardiologists. We also receive referrals from other health professionals, including physiotherapists, diabetes educators, podiatrists and speech pathologists.
At Northside Nutrition and Dietetics we believe in working closely with other health professionals to ensure optimal care of our clients. Medical Practitioners who refer patients to our practice will receive an initial Nutrition Care Plan for the patient and regular updates on their progress with us.
Patients can claim back consultation fees through their private health fund and eligible DVA patients can be seen with a D904 referral from their medical practitioner. Our dietitians are also registered with the Health Insurance Commission to see patients with Enhanced Primary Care Plans, under the new Medicare Plus initiative For further information about referring patient's through DVA or Medicare Plus, please contact us on 9415 4845.
